Mozart's Cosi Fan Tutte, June 2019

Rose Opera was proud to have been invited to perform Mozart's Cosi Fan Tutte at the prestigious Beaminster Festival on June 25th, 2019.

Two young couples are happily in love until the old cynic, Don Alfonso, dispels the amorous illusions of his two good friends, Guglielmo and Ferrando. The plot that follows is a comedy, a farce and also a personal tragedy to at least one of the young lovers.

Cosi Fan Tutte deservedly claims its place in the opera world for the largest number of translations of its title from Italian: “Women Are Like That”, “Who Won the Bet?”, “The Girls’ Revenge” and even “Tit for Tat”.  It also has some of Mozart’s finest music. Come and enjoy Rose Opera’s contemporary take on this timeless story.
